Fire Extinguishers
Many homesteads and major farm buildings (Woolsheds, etc) are often located in remote rural areas. Having a Fire Extinguisher mounted and ready-to-hand could make all the difference while you wait for the Fire Brigade to arrive.
Water Sources
A near-by water source can be very beneficial for fire-fighting – be it a Water Tank or even a Dam. The more water the Brigade can access, the quicker a fire can be doused.
Wiring Checks
Having a registered electrician inspect Woolsheds, etc, can show up potential ignition sources – for example: birds’ nests in the switchboard, cables chewed by rodents, old wiring and overloaded circuits.
